Project Overview
Fazenda Primavera is a private rural property of approximately 470 hectares, located in the southern part of the municipality of Presidente Figueiredo, state of Amazonas. The farm is bordered to the northeast by the BR-174 highway along its entire front, to the northwest it confronts the urban area of Presidente Figueiredo, more specifically the Comunidade Santa Cruz neighborhood, and on the southeast and southwest sides, it is in an area of continuous forest, apparently with some small-scale anthropogenic agricultural activity. The property is crossed by the Urubuí River, a tributary of the Urubu River, which in turn flows into the Uatumã River, close to its mouth on the Amazon River, after the junction between the Negro and Solimões rivers.
Biome Conservation Assets (B.C.A) are PlanetaryX’s first-generation assets. Compared to B.R.As, they have limited data collection and are paired with a green CPRV valid in Brazil consequently having a 10-year lifespan.
Impact
Conservation Metrics
In addition to the ecosystem services directly related to the carbon stock, Fazenda Primavera has biodiversity and environmental co-benefits that raise the biome conservation asset proposed for the property, fostered by wealth species (including endemics and endangered species), an advanced stage of forest regeneration and a good state of the conserved ecosystem.
